While most people feeling stress from work, school, and their personal life can get past it, it affects people with anxiety order differently. This stress can make it hard to lead a normal life, and it can cause long-lasting negative effects.

Anxiety can be caused by environmental factors or can be inherited. It is thought to come from the section of the brain that regulates emotions, including fear. Experts think that when this part of the brain malfunctions, it causes periods of extreme anxiety that last for prolonged periods. Furthermore, these periods of prolonged anxiety are thought to change the way nerve cells transmit information to other areas of the brain. This also can change how memories and emotions are controlled by the brain, affecting the regulation of the body’s critical systems.
